Our main goal in the rehabilitation center is to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services through the participation of professionals from each department in order to achieve a satisfactory rehabilitation and recovery process.

At THE JT CHILDREN FOUNDATION, INC. Rehabilitation Center a comprehensive specialized service is provided for the treatment of, and the rehabilitation and recovery from, different pathologies that arise on a daily basis, providing services from neonatal to geriatric patients needing rehabilitation processes or palliative or preventative care with the warm, quality service that characterizes the foundation.

PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT

In the physiotherapy department, our goal is to assist the patient in attaining the maximum functional performance possible through a variety of physical therapy or rehabilitation approaches, preventing complications, reducing incapacity, and increasing independence.

SPECIFIC PROGRAMS:

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

The individual therapy program has brought enormous benefits to the patients of THE JT CHILDREN FOUNDATION, INC. Rehabilitation Center as this provides a personalized physiotherapy approach appropriate to the needs of each patient. The schedule is determined by the physiotherapist who evaluates the patient.

WHO DOES IT SERVE?

People needing to initiate the rehabilitation process and/or patients requiring palliative care.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES THE THERAPY TAKE?

The therapy will take a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour depending on the patient’s needs.

SPINAL COLUMN SCHOOL

This program arose to assist adult patients suffering from back problems (scoliosis, hyperkyphosis, hyperlordosis, etc.), most of which are caused by poor posture and/or advanced age.

The main goal of this program is to teach patients exercises with a low grade of difficulty that are at the same time capable of reducing discomforts suffered. Patients involved in this program also have an individual session once a week.

WHO DOES IT SERVE?

Patients suffering pathologies related to the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral regions of the spinal column.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

This takes place on Wednesdays from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

EARLY CHILDHOOD STIMULATION

The early childhood stimulation program allows the maximum development of the child either globally or in specific areas, using specific patterns of movement to successfully channel each child’s innate desire to learn and so adequately develop motor skills.

The main goal is to transmit knowledge to the parents or guardian so that the various patterns of movement can be performed at home and contribute to the rehabilitation process as well as encouraging a good parent-child relationship.

WHO DOES IT SERVE?

Differently-abled children who require rehabilitation processes.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

This takes place on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

THE HEALTHY FOOT PROGRAM

This program arose to meet the needs of children suffering various pathologies related to the feet (pes cavus, equinas, pes planus, clubfoot, etc.).

These types of pathologies can generally be corrected through the intervention of therapeutic exercises and/or orthopedic devices. Consistency in following through with therapeutic routines plays a very important role in the recovery process, and to this end instructions are given to the parents or guardians as to the exercises that the patient should perform at home on a daily basis. Despite the fact that the therapy is given in a group, the exercises are specific to the needs of each patient.

In the case that specialized equipment is needed, the rehabilitation center has an alliance with the National Orthopedics Hospital, with whom efforts are coordinated to assist persons with limited resources.

WHO DOES IT SERVE?

Pediatric patients suffering pathologies directly related to the feet.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?

This takes place on Fridays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
